of expectations of the position, employer expectation, qualifications
etc.
Using the internet students look up a job search website and investigate
4 jobs they are interested in.
The students report back to the class as to what they found out
Information to be considered: jobs available, salary, tasks, personal
attributes.
VOCATIONAL TESTING
Students complete a simple vocational psychometric test. The test
shows a trend for each participant and highlights areas or industries
that the participant would be suited to work in. This is by no means
a definitive test and should be looked at as a guide only.
THE REAL WORLD OF WORK
- Occupational, Health and Safety
- Anti Harassment legislation
- Bullying in the Workplace
- What to do if it happens to you
THE RESULT
At the end of the session the participants complete an evaluation
form so that both the school and Hands on Training Group can see

be improved.
