Job Skills Workshops

Our Jobskills Workshop is a high energy full day workshop. It has been designed in consultation with secondary school students, teachers and employers. The aim is to expose students to the world of work in terms of how to get a part time or casual job and then how to keep it.

Often students seeking their first jobs need assistance in how to prepare themselves for job seeking to give themselves the very best opportunity for success. The Jobskills Workshop is fundamental in enabling the students to develop their confidence and ability to self promote.

Advanced Job Skills

This program can be delivered in either half day or full day format. There are 8 interchangeable sessions that the school can choose from depending on the needs of by the students. As an extension to the Job Skills Workshop we have also adapted another day which complements and extends the Job Skills Workshop. This day is designed for students that are considering career paths, concentrating on their strengths, weaknesses and interests etc.

This Extended Job Skills Workshop is aimed at older students such as Year 10 or even Year 11.

Corporate And Other Training

Hands on Training Group offers other training sessions in hospitality and also for corporate clients.

We work closely with the client to adapt to their training needs in order for staff to increase their level of competency in specific areas. The overall goal is to allow staff to develop skills to improve their work performance in the area of customer service through effective work habits and awareness of their specified work tasks. Our focus is to have a positive and profitable outcome for the participating business.

Trainee Workbooks

Hands on Training Group offers workbooks for Hospitality and Retail students in Certificate II and Certificate III. They are an excellent way of purchasing materials for trainees as they comply with criteria and assessment guidelines. They have been tailored for the “on-the-job” trainee, so are ideal for workplace use.

Traineeship Delivery

Hands on Training Group Pty Ltd provides workplace assessment services to Registered Training Organisations (RTO) who deliver traineeships to employees in retail and hospitality venues.

Workplace assessment involves visiting a trainee at their workplace and assessing them against criteria set by a National Training body, which includes meeting the standards required by the individual workplace. A written report of the assessment is completed and assessment may also include reporting to the employer on the trainee’s progress in the traineeship and training the student in areas that have been found to be deficient according to the required criteria.
